A fundamental role of ITU, following the World Summit on the Information Society (WSIS) and the 2010 ITU Plenipotentiary Conference, is to build confidence and security in the use of Information and Communication Technologies (ICTs). At WSIS, Heads of States and world leaders entrusted ITU to be the Facilitator of Action Line C5, «Building confidence and security in the use of ICTs», in response to which ITU Secretary-General launched, in 2007, the Global Cybersecurity Agenda (GCA), as a framework for international cooperation in this area.

BASELAREA.SWISS is the office for promoting innovation and inward investment for the northwest cantons of Basel-Stadt, Basel-Landschaft and Jura. The core function of is to promote the strengths of the Basel region as a centre for business and to support both Swiss and foreign entrepreneurs and companies in the implementation of their innovation and business projects in the region.

The Global Cyber Security Center (GCSEC)

The GCSEC is a newly established not-for-profit organization created to advance cyber security in Italy, the region, and around the world. The Center, funded by Poste Italiane and other member companies has a strong collaboration with Italian and International government institutions, private bodies, research institutions and international bodies. The mission is to develop and disseminate knowledge and awareness on Cyber Security, creating the conditions for improving capabilities, skills, cooperation and communication between the different stakeholders involved in the use and protection of internet.
